Egypt’s Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait met on Wednesday Moussa Sisi, Minister of Economy, Finance and Planning of Guinea, in the presence of Ehab Abu Eish, Egyptian Deputy Minister of Finance, on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank Group in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The meeting discussed ways to deepen joint relations, and mechanisms for African economies to deal with external and internal challenges.
Maait stressed that Egypt harnesses all its capabilities and expertise to serve African countries. This comes within the framework of supporting the aspirations of the African peoples in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, especially in light of the difficult global economic challenges. These challenges make it necessary to maximize cooperation efforts in agricultural and industrial production, and achieve economic integration to ensure optimal utilization of African resources, and a sufficiency of commodities.
The Minister of Finance said: “We will continue to enhance opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Guinea, especially in terms of economic activities and customs facilities.”
