The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) will organize on Wednesday a workshop on the review of African Union (AU) policy on post-conflict reconstruction and development. This will be in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA/NEPAD).
The workshop will be held under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for post-conflict reconstruction and development, under the chairmanship of Egypt’s steering committee of the heads of state and government of the new partnership.
It also comes as part of the preparatory activities for the fourth edition of the Aswan forum for sustainable peace and development.
Ambassador Ashraf Sweilam, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director of the Department of African Organizations and Groupings; Ambassador Bankoly Edewey, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the African Union; Nardos Thomas, Executive Director of the African Union Development Agency; and Ambassador Ahmed Abdel Latif, Director of CCCPA; will participate in the workshop.
