25 Egyptian companies participate in EPS exhibition: EEC

The Engineering Export Council (EEC) announced the participation of 25 Egyptian companies in the first edition of Egypt Power Show (EPS).

The show is the largest and first buyer mission in the electrical industries sector, which is being organized in cooperation with Egypt Commercial Service and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and sponsored by the National Bank of Egypt from 17-19 July 2023.

The EEC stated: “After the success achieved by the HATS mission in its past four editions since 2019, the Council decided to organize a large mission in the electrical industries sector with the participation of 30 to 35 international buyers from the countries of Libya, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.  and Congo.”

The council noted that the EPS mission will focus on bringing in buyers to meet 25 Egyptian companies, including El Sewedy Engineering Industries, SEGA-M, EGYTRAFO Group, Elsewedy Electrometer, Egypt Cables, 2M Electric Group, Giza Power, Energia, Ever Given, and others to hold bilateral meetings and make field visits to various Egyptian factories specialized in electrical industries in order to expand businesses.

CEO of EEC, Mai Helmy, announced the formation of a working group from the council to follow up on the preparations for the EPS mission. The group would facilitate holding meetings and gatherings on the sidelines of the mission which will be coordinated with all concerned parties.

She pointed out that the show received a great acceptance in the sector and a clear keenness of Egyptian companies to be with the mission, especially since the participating foreign countries are interested in the electrical industries sector.

Helmy elaborated that the EPS mission will be the largest and only event in Egypt that serves electrical industries in an effective and appropriate manner to the nature of these sectors by hosting a delegation of the largest international buyers in the most promising markets to attend the event in Cairo and hold specialised bilateral meetings with Egyptian companies and field visits to factories
