Banque du Caire graduates first cohort of “Fast Track” programme

Banque du Caire has graduated the first cohort of its “Fast Track” program, an innovative professional development programme designed to help exceptional staff members develop the necessary skills for further career growth.

The programme, which was launched in 2022, was designed to identify and develop high-potential employees who have the skills and drive to succeed in senior leadership roles. 

The programme included a rigorous selection process, as well as a comprehensive curriculum that covered a wide range of topics, including business strategy, leadership development, and financial analysis.

The first cohort of the “Fast Track” programme consisted of 45 employees from across the bank. The programme culminated in a graduation ceremony, where the graduates were presented with certificates of completion.

In his remarks at the graduation ceremony, Banque du Caire Chairperson and CEO Tarek Fayed expressed his pride in the program’s first graduating cohort. 

He said that the programme is part of an integrated plan developed by the bank to support young cadres in various ways, starting with the training process, and preparing them to fill specialized jobs within the bank’s many sectors.

Fayed also noted that the training and development budget at Banque du Caire has continuously increased to ensure that the bank’s staff receives state-of-the-art training. He said that the budget has increased sixfold since 2018.

Sherin Amr, Banque du Caire’s Head of Human Resources and Training Group, said that the first graduating batch from “Fast Track” comes within the framework of the continuous efforts that the bank is committed to regarding the development of the employees’ skills. 

She said that the programme has achieved its desired goals, which are to build capacities and develop the skills of young cadres and to invest their skills and benefit from their abilities to speed up the path of promotions compared to the normal path.

Amr said that the program has also motivated employees to work harder and further showcase what they are capable of accomplishing.

Banque du Caire is one of the oldest and largest Egyptian banks. It was founded in 1952 and has a network of 249 branches and 1671 ATMs spread nationwide. The bank serves a massive and diverse customer base of more than 3 million customers, including major corporations, prominent institutions, high net-worth customers, and individual customers.
