The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday that Israel is taking advantage of the lack of international seriousness to implement the two-state solution to annex the West Bank and apply Israeli law to wide areas.
In a press release, the ministry said that this would close the door to any chance of embodying a Palestinian state on the ground, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The ministry also said that the daily crimes of occupation against the Palestinian people and their properties are an extension of the open war of occupation on the Palestinian existence, the just and legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, and an ongoing Israeli attempt to break the will of steadfastness, face the occupation and defend the Palestinian people.
The ministry held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for the consequences of its violations and crimes, given the real dangers they pose, threatening to blow up the conflict scene.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry stressed that the international silence on these flagrant violations of international law reflects the double standards and absence of international will to respect and implement the resolutions of international legitimacy, as well as the lack of seriousness on the part of the international community to achieve calm and restore the political horizon to resolve the conflict.
