Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has inaugurated a civil registry office at an Etisalat by e& branch in Fifth Settlement, Cairo.
This comes within the framework of the cooperation protocol that was signed between Etisalat by e& in Egypt and the Ministry of the Interior to provide civil registration services at the company’s branches. In addition, Etisalat by e& shall open a new branch at the headquarters of the Civil Status Authority in Abbasiya, which contributes to supporting the state’s efforts for digital transformation.
Etisalat by e& will be the first telecom company to provide all automated civil registry services, such as ID number, birth and death certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, and others, with the same fees set by the state without any increase.
Hazem Metwally, CEO of Etisalat by e&, said that the new cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Interior represents a quantum leap in the services provided by the company to its customers.
Metwally expressed his pride in signing the protocol, which confirms the state’s confidence, represented by the Ministry of Interior and the competent authorities, in the capabilities in the company to provide the best services to its customers through an integrated system.
He explained that Etisalat by e& is keen to cooperate with all state agencies and government agencies to enhance e-government services and diversify its services provided not only to its customers; rather, to all citizens. He thanked the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for creating a suitable environment for work and expanding its investments in Egypt. He also thanked the Ministry of Interior for this fruitful cooperation that would achieve the digital transformation plan and save time and effort for customers and all citizens.
He pointed out that Etisalat by e& is the first company to cooperate with the Ministry of Interior in this field, given the company’s efforts to diversify the services provided and make it easier for citizens, through several different channels and various sources.
It should be noted that Etisalat by e& previously cooperated with the Ministry of Justice to provide real estate notary services within the company’s branches in 17 governorates.
