President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi directed on Wednesday the government to continue strengthening the role of the Long Live Egypt Fund, as a complement to the state’s efforts in achieving comprehensive development, supporting the most vulnerable groups, and improving the standard of living, and enhancing the society’s ability to face economic challenges.
This should be done in partnership with government agencies, civil society institutions, and the private sector, to reach all eligible people with development and social assistance nationwide.
These remarks came during President Al-Sisi’s meeting with Mohamed Amin, advisor to the president for financial affairs.
Official spokesperson of the presidency, Ahmed Fahmy, said that the meeting reviewed the activities of the fund and the role it plays at the level of social and development work.
The total contributions of the fund during the past period and the services it provides to citizens throughout Egypt were presented.
In this context, Amin reviewed the fund’s activities, including the support of vulnerable families, orphans, and disabled people, in addition to organizing social protection convoys in cooperation with NGOs and civil society institutions, to provide food, clothes, and various living necessities to beneficiaries of the fund.
