Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait has said that the government allocated EGP 671m to the private funds and accounts in governorates during the first quarter (1Q) of fiscal year 2023/24, compared to about EGP 506.5m during the same period of the last fiscal year, an increase of 32%.
A statement from the Ministry of Finance on Sunday stressed the state’s keenness to take into account the social dimension of workers in private funds and accounts and their families, and that we are continuing to improve the work environment for workers in private funds and accounts; to raise the efficiency of performance and improve the quality of services provided to citizens, pointing out that it was decided to preserve the right of these workers who are fixed on special funds and accounts, to promotion by raising the job grades they occupy to higher grades, so that their job statuses are not frozen; in a way that contributes to achieving job and social stability for them.
The statement added that it is permissible to combine the period of practical and scientific experience for these workers who are registered on private funds and accounts, before the implementation of the Civil Service Law, in light of the conclusions of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration, and the fatwa of the General Assembly of the Fatwa and Legislation departments of the State Council.
