The festival management has chosen the Sunrise Garden Beach Hotel to be the venue for the festival, as the hotel’s marina area will host the opening and closing ceremonies.

The sponsorship and participation contract was signed by writer and screenwriter Mohamed El Basousi, head of the festival, and Ahmed Fouad, regional director of sales and marketing for Sunrise Resorts and Floating Hotels, in the presence of Kadri Al-Haggar, director of the festival; Mario Luis, director of sales for Sunrise Group; and Rania Atef, director of the marketing sector for Sunrise Resorts and Floating Hotels, and Madar Real Estate Development.

Writer and screenwriter Mohamed El-Basousy said: “The choice of Sunrise Garden Beach Resort came after an on-site inspection of a large number of hotels and tourist resorts, and it was found with the work team that Sunrise is the most suitable place for the festival and its activities to be held because it has a privileged location and high-quality service, as well as a marina inside the Sea, which will be the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies, and a global stage will be built specifically for this event, which enjoys media sponsorship and great press and television coverage, in addition to the major platforms in Egypt and the world, as it is the first qualitative festival in the region.”

On the other hand, the tourist expert, Ahmed Fouad, the regional director of sales and marketing for the Sunrise Group of Resorts and Floating Hotels, confirmed that Hurghada enjoys a unique location on the Red Sea and is characterized by mild weather throughout the months of the year, so it is one of the most important tourist destinations to which tourists from all over the world turn. It tops the tourist destinations for Egyptians and Arabs alike.

Ahmed Fouad added: “We will work to harness all capabilities to make the festival a success and make it a tourist destination that its guests await every year.”

On the other hand, journalist and writer Kadri Al-Haggar announced that the festival will launch a platform to support cinematic ideas and projects that deserve to be brought to light through a jury to select these works, and provide material support for their production through a number of contributors and sponsors, indicating that there is a whole week of various cinematic activities for its audience and visitors through cinematic screenings and various seminars that discuss, analyze and put bright spots in the path of promising talents with the aim of transferring and exchanging cinematic experiences.
