Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar; and Minister of State for Military Production, Muhammad Mustafa; inspected on Monday a model for establishing a field hospital. The model was designed by the Armored Vehicles Production and Repair Factory (Factory 200) of the Ministry of Military Production.
On the sidelines of the inspection tour, the two ministers discussed joint cooperation to manufacture this type of hospital in the implementation of the Ministry of Health’s plan to provide distinguished health services to citizens with high quality and optimal use of available resources and in effective partnership with the Ministry of Military Production.
The meeting also witnessed a detailed presentation on the equipment and stages of establishing and establishing a model field hospital, which was designed on an area of 1,000 square meters, including two resting tents and corridors, three reception rooms, an intensive care room, an operating room, an analysis laboratory, an x-ray room, and four patient rooms. Each room has five beds, in addition to toilets, a water treatment plant, and a drinking water tank.
Abdel Ghaffar stressed that the Ministry of Health is keen to cooperate with the Ministry of Military Production and to make optimal use of the capabilities available in its affiliated companies and units in implementing a number of projects that concern citizen health, in order to encourage the national industry and support the deepening of the local component.
Moreover, during the meeting, the two ministers agreed that the first model for manufacturing a field hospital in Egypt would be for the benefit of the Ministry of Health and Population, as the Minister of Health noted the need for this model, especially in places to develop hospitals or places with low density.
For his part, Mustafa confirmed the existence of previous fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Health through the implementation of many projects such as the automation of the comprehensive health insurance system as well as the establishment and upgrading of many hospitals and health institutes, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Military Production to achieve integration with various state institutions.
