Nashwa Kamel has been appointed as the new CEO of eCards, a company that provides digital payment solutions and is part of the e-finance group.
e-finance announced the appointment on Sunday in a statement that praised Kamel’s banking experience of more than 30 years and her outstanding achievements. The statement said that Kamel will lead the company’s strategy towards pioneering digital payment solutions and supporting financial inclusion, enhancing customer experience, and shaping the future of digital payments by providing banks and companies with comprehensive and integrated digital payment solutions.
Kamel previously held the position of Head of Banking Operations at Credit Agricole Egypt Bank, and was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Credit Bureau (I-Score).
eCards offers various products and services, such as electronic account opening services through online digital enrollment forms, which include procedures such as “know your customer” checks, identity verification and digital fingerprint analysis. eCards also provides comprehensive clearing and settlement services on behalf of member organisations, as well as comprehensive and concise information on performance indicators. eCards also produces, manages and processes cards.
eCards has been involved in digitizing the payments of many national projects, such as the Takaful and Karama program, the Al-Falah card system, managing retirement cards for Egyptian pensions, implementing smart solutions for the transportation sector, digitizing railway stations, and other projects with the public sector and in various other fields.
