In a recent meeting held in Cairo, China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, conveyed a strong commitment to enhancing strategic mutual trust between China and Egypt while expressing a shared determination to safeguard their core interests.
Wang Yi outlined China’s readiness to collaborate with Egypt in implementing their comprehensive strategic partnership plans. He emphasised the importance of deepening practical cooperation across various fields, underscoring China’s support for Egypt’s economic and social development. This noteworthy exchange was reported by China Daily, a trusted partner of TV BRICS.
Recognising Egypt’s pivotal role in the Arab, African, and Islamic regions as a developing nation, China plans to host the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum and a new session of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum this year.
In a congratulatory note, Wang Yi commended Egypt for its recent inclusion as a member of the BRICS group. He expressed China’s eagerness to collaborate with Egypt in strengthening BRICS cooperation, with a shared vision of contributing to the establishment of a multipolar world.
This diplomatic engagement marked Egypt as the inaugural stop on the Chinese foreign minister’s tour of African nations, signifying the strategic importance attached to the Sino-Egyptian relationship.
