The meetings, held from May 27th to 31st, focused on the theme “Africa’s Transformation, the African Development Bank Group, and the Reform of the Global Financial Architecture.” Governor Abdalla led a high-level Egyptian delegation that included Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, and Tarek El Kholy, Deputy Governor of the CBE.

The Egyptian delegation actively participated in various sessions, with Governor Abdalla being selected to deliver the final communiqué, which outlined the key agreements reached by the governors of the 81 member countries.

In addition to the official proceedings, Governor Abdalla engaged in numerous discussions with his counterparts from other member countries. These talks centred on shared interests and strategies to bolster developmental efforts across the African continent.

This participation aligns with Egypt’s strategic vision to reinforce its leadership role in Africa and expand its involvement in regional and international forums.
