In an inspiring display of teamwork and community, 80 children and their families at Al-Nas Children’s Charitable Hospital in Shubra El-Kheima, Cairo, have assembled Egypt’s largest puzzle.

The collaborative effort, resulting in a completed puzzle spanning 7 metres by 2 metres, sets a new national record and places Egypt seventh globally for puzzle size. The completed puzzle, a first for the country, will be permanently displayed within the hospital, serving as a symbol of hope and unity for patients and visitors.

The initiative, a collaboration between Al-Nas Hospital, Saqqara for Sports Investments, and Puzzle Station, forms part of the hospital’s branding strategy and demonstrates its commitment to providing a supportive and engaging environment for young patients.

“The majority of participants were children from the hospital and their families,” said Amre Mohie El-Din, communication manager at Al-Nas Hospital. “This initiative not only provided them with an engaging activity but also fostered a sense of community within the hospital.”

Amr Hamdy, Event Coordinator at Saqqara, echoed this sentiment, adding, “As an established sports investment company, we are committed to our corporate social responsibility. Hosting this puzzling event at Al-Nas Hospital aligns with our values.

Additionally, we are planning to organise Egypt’s first puzzle championship in collaboration with Al-Nas Hospital.”

The hospital administration has embraced this initiative, recognising its potential to enhance the hospital’s identity and promote its values of compassion, support, and unity.

In a separate initiative, Al-Nas Hospital has also extended its hospitality to children and their families fleeing conflict in Gaza with a referral from the Egyptian Health Ministry, ensuring they receive the care and support they need during difficult times.

Al-Nas Children’s Charitable Hospital, a newly established facility, stands as a beacon of excellence in Egypt’s healthcare landscape. Spanning an impressive 30,000 square metres, the hospital boasts a 600-bed capacity and state-of-the-art facilities designed to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the community.
