Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez met on Monday during the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchange views on the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Rodríguez commented on the meeting, saying, “Both sides highlighted high alignment between our countries on the main issues of the international agenda, as well as the good state of bilateral relations.”
Shoukry explained Egypt’s active role in seeking a resolution to the conflict in Gaza.
