Abu Dhabi will host the Liwa Date Festival from 15 to 28 July 2024, celebrating the UAE’s rich date harvest heritage and promoting agricultural innovation, the Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS reported.

The festival, a key event in the Abu Dhabi government’s cultural calendar, aims to reinforce the emirate’s position as a hub for heritage festivals and cultural programmes, ensuring the preservation and transmission of Emirati traditions.

Bringing together farmers, producers, companies, and investment institutions from both public and private sectors, the festival will focus on educating farmers on modern agricultural practices and supporting local farms in enhancing the quality of their date produce.

The Liwa Date Festival will feature a range of heritage competitions, reflecting the importance of date cultivation in Emirati history and culture.
