The directors of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), William Burns, the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, David Barnea, and the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, Abbas Kamel, will travel to Doha on Wednesday to discuss a ceasefire agreement in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, an Egyptian security delegation was also in Doha, aiming to bridge the gap between Hamas and Israel and facilitate a truce. According to a high-level Egyptian source, progress has been made on key points, and negotiations will resume on Wednesday in Doha and Thursday in Cairo.

On Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) urgently contacted mediators, warning of the catastrophic repercussions of the situation in Gaza and Rafah. They emphasized that any negotiation process should address the mechanism for a ceasefire and withdrawal within a specific timeframe to halt the aggression. Hamas said it remains committed to its core principles and the well-being of its people.

The official spokesperson for Hamas, Jihad Taha, said: “The movement did not give up on the basic headlines, and did not affect any headline that serves our people and their resistance. There is a negotiation process that will take place, during which the deliberations that took place recently will be discussed, especially about the mechanism for a ceasefire and withdrawal within a time frame that leads to stopping the aggression. There is a round of negotiations to discuss the basic topics and their details, and we hope that there will be seriousness and commitment from the Israelis.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the Israeli occupation committed three massacres in the Gaza Strip, leaving 50 dead and 130 injured during the past 24 hours, noting that the toll of the Israeli aggression against Gaza has risen to 38,243 dead and 88,033 injured since 7 October 2023.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced that its members targeted an occupation force “barricaded inside a house with a TBG shell and clashed with it with machine guns.” The Brigades added, “While several force members were withdrawing and withdrawing soldiers from the place after causing them to be killed or wounded, they were targeted again by detonating an anti-personnel thunderbolt in the Shujaiya neighbourhood” in Gaza City.
