“Archipelago 2024 serves as a platform for practical applications of drones in various sectors, including energy, agriculture, forestry, and logistics,” said Andrey Seeling, head of the Archipelago headquarters and executive director of the NTI Platform. “This intensive provides a model for other regions in Russia to develop expertise in UAS by forming teams and participating in the program.”
The event also emphasizes international collaboration, particularly among BRICS+ nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, plus additional emerging economies).
Oksana Serpak, Director of International Communications and Development at the NTI Platform, believes forging technological partnerships is crucial in today’s multipolar world.”Strengthening ties with BRICS+ countries in science and technology will accelerate economic progress and solidify our positions in the global arena,” she said.
A separate program within Archipelago 2024, “Quality of Life. New Horizons,” focuses on developing innovative solutions to improve living standards in Russian regions. The Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) leads this initiative.
