Israeli occupation forces bombed a school belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat camp, central Gaza Strip, on Tuesday, resulting in the death of six Palestinians and injuries to more than 40 others.
The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that the Israeli forces committed two massacres against civilians in the Strip within the past 24 hours, resulting in 49 deaths and 69 injuries. The toll of Israeli aggression has now reached 38,713 dead and 89,166 injuries since 7 October 2023.
The Palestinian Red Crescent also stated that hundreds of dead bodies remain scattered in various governorates in Gaza, with rescue crews unable to recover them. Despite prior coordination with international organizations, the occupation forces targeted ambulance centres.
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the deliberate bombing of displaced persons in the UNRWA Al-Razi School and the Al-Mawasi area. They also highlighted the continued barbaric bombing in multiple locations within Gaza, leading to the loss of dozens of lives.
Hamas added in a statement: “The fascist occupation continues genocide as it feels immune to international punishment and accountability for its brutal aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip.”
In response to this brutality, Hamas accused the American administration, led by President Biden, of bearing responsibility due to its ongoing political and military support for the occupation and its actions. The movement emphasized the need for international justice in pursuing Zionist war criminals.
Furthermore, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Israel’s systematic targeting of UNRWA and its buildings, including the agency’s main headquarters in Gaza. The ministry called for effective measures to stop these violations and stressed the importance of UNRWA’s continued work in providing vital services to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
According to The New York Times, secret talks are underway between Cairo and Tel Aviv regarding the possible withdrawal of Israeli occupation soldiers from the Philadelphia axis on the border strip between Gaza and the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula. This move could remove a significant obstacle to reaching a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
