Al-Sisi congratulates Kagame, vows stronger Egypt-Rwanda relations

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi congratulated his Rwandan counterpart, Paul Kagame, on his re-election during a phone call on Thursday, according to an Egyptian presidential statement.

 

Al-Sisi expressed Egypt’s keenness to strengthen bilateral ties with Rwanda, emphasizing the two countries’ shared interests and aspirations. He also reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to close coordination with Rwanda on regional and continental issues.

 

Kagame expressed gratitude for Al-Sisi’s well wishes and reiterated Rwanda’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Egypt across all sectors. The Rwandan leader highlighted the importance of continued consultations between the two nations on African matters.

 

The phone conversation underscored the strong bilateral relations between Egypt and Rwanda, with both leaders expressing a desire to further deepen cooperation.
