Egypt has expressed deep concern regarding Israeli military operations in Yemen, warning that these actions are intensifying tensions across multiple fronts.

In a statement issued Saturday by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt stressed the need for international efforts to ensure regional security and stability, cautioning that the ongoing developments in the Gaza Strip could lead to a broader conflict.

Earlier on Saturday, Israeli warplanes struck the Houthi-controlled Yemeni port of Hodeida, a day after a Houthi drone attack in Tel Aviv.

Egypt’s government emphasised the importance of all parties exercising restraint to prevent regional chaos. It called on regional and international actors to fulfil their responsibilities in ending the Israeli conflict in Gaza, identifying it as the main source of the current heightened tensions and regional escalation.

Reiterating its firm stance, Egypt called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the area. The Ministry underscored that these measures are crucial to containing tensions and are essential for establishing comprehensive calm and maintaining regional security and stability.
