In response, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of reverting to “procrastination, delay, and evasion” tactics regarding the exchange deal. Hamas stated that Netanyahu’s conditions have regressed from the terms previously conveyed by mediators, which were part of US President Joe Biden’s initiative and a UN Security Council resolution.
On the ground, the Al-Quds Brigades reported that its fighters had targeted a Merkava tank with a “tandem” missile and engaged with Israeli infantry forces near the Nile School in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, southwest of Gaza City.
