The Embassy of India in Cairo is set to host the India-Egypt Kabaddi Tournament, a celebration of the growing cultural and sporting ties between the two nations. In collaboration with the Egyptian Kabaddi Federation, the tournament will take place at the Helwan University Club from 10 am to 5 pm on July 30, 2024.
The event will feature a total of 12 teams, with six men’s teams and six women’s teams competing in their respective categories. Kabaddi, an ancient Indian sport that has gained immense popularity across the Indian subcontinent and surrounding Asian countries, is known for its energetic and physically demanding gameplay.
Played with seven players on each side, Kabaddi is a thrilling game that requires both physical skill and endurance to emerge victorious. The tournament will feature two spells of 20 minutes each, providing spectators with an action-packed display of the sport’s intensity and athleticism.
