Investment Minister visits Spain to strengthen economic ties

Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib arrived in Madrid on Sunday for a high-level visit aimed at deepening economic relations between Egypt and Spain. During his trip, he will meet with senior officials, business leaders, and key members of Spanish business federations to promote investment opportunities and expand bilateral trade.

The visit will highlight Egypt’s economic policies and the competitive advantages of its investment landscape. El-Khatib will also discuss strategies to enhance joint investments and facilitate foreign trade operations, emphasizing the government’s financial, monetary, and trade policies designed to attract international investors.

As part of his agenda, the minister will hold meetings with executives from major Spanish companies operating in energy, hospitality, hydrogen production, ready-made garments, engineering industries, infrastructure, healthcare, and aviation.

Additionally, El-Khatib is set to engage with members of the Spanish Hydrogen Association, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce Federation, and the Egypt-Spain Business Council. He will also meet with the President and members of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations to explore new avenues for economic cooperation between the two nations.
