The event also featured a documentary showcasing the state’s initiatives in supporting women, followed by an interactive discussion between President Al-Sisi and the attendees on various key issues, including motherhood, childhood, Alzheimer’s disease, and the impact of arts and media on Egyptian identity.

In his address, President Al-Sisi emphasized the state’s recognition of women’s contributions to society, stating: “Egyptian women have been the cornerstone of this enduring civilization and will continue to be key partners in development and progress.” He also urged the government to continue advancing women’s economic empowerment, political participation, and the fight against all forms of violence toward women.

In his concluding remarks, the president expressed solidarity with Palestinian women facing challenges, stressing the importance of national unity to achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people.

Minister Maya Morsy shared that the Takaful and Karama social security programme has benefited 7.7 million families, with women representing more than 75% of the recipients. She also highlighted efforts to empower women economically, including through government initiatives and financial support.
