The Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS) in Warsaw, in cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Polish Embassy in Cairo, recently organized a webinar to showcase investment opportunities in Egypt’s growing automotive supply industry. The event attracted participation from around 20 leading Polish companies, many of which are key suppliers to major global automotive manufacturers.

During the webinar, Amr Kilany, Commercial Counselor and Head of the ECS in Warsaw, gave a detailed presentation on Egypt’s National Program for the Development of the Automotive Industry. He outlined the range of investment incentives available to foreign companies, as well as the size, diversity, and growth potential of the Egyptian automotive market. The presentation also highlighted Egypt’s main industrial zones, particularly the Suez Canal Economic Zone and East Port Said Economic Zone, and the customs and tax advantages they offer to investors.

Kilany announced that a delegation of Polish automotive supply companies is scheduled to visit Egypt in October to attend the Autotech Egypt exhibition and explore partnership and investment opportunities with Egyptian companies in the sector.

Abdel Aziz Elsherif, First Under-Secretary of State and Head of the ECS, emphasized Poland’s pivotal role in global automotive supply chains, particularly in serving major German, French, and British manufacturers. In 2024, Polish automotive and component exports reached approximately €45bn, reflecting the country’s importance in the global market.

Elsherif also noted the significant growth in Egypt–Poland trade relations in recent years. According to the Polish Statistics Office, Egyptian exports to Poland rose by 35.5% in the first half of 2025, reaching approximately $304.4m, compared to $224.7m during the same period in 2024.

Egypt’s key exports to Poland include agricultural crops, processed food products, chemicals, ready-made garments, home textiles, and various engineering goods. In return, Egypt imports apples, agricultural machinery, and dairy products from Poland.

The upcoming visit by Polish automotive firms is expected to deepen bilateral industrial cooperation, expand trade, and support Egypt’s efforts to localize advanced manufacturing technologies within its growing automotive ecosystem.
