Schneider Electric, the global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has unveiled a suite of innovative solutions aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and accelerating digital transformation in Egypt. The company hosted its “Secure Power Innovation Day,” bringing together experts, clients, and partners to discuss the future of secure power, data centers, and the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping digital infrastructure.
At the event, Schneider Electric launched two major products designed to address the rising demand for resilient, sustainable energy solutions.
Galaxy VXL: Reinventing Energy Efficiency for Critical Infrastructure
The highlight of the day was the introduction of Galaxy VXL, a next-generation three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Achieving industry-leading efficiency of up to 99% in “eConversion” mode, the system is expected to cut carbon emissions by as much as 50%. Its compact design reduces floor space usage by 52%, while its “Live Swap” feature allows modules to be replaced without downtime—making it ideal for data centers, cloud service providers, industrial facilities, and large commercial operations.
Galaxy VXL also offers a pay-as-you-grow capacity model, enabling organizations to expand in line with actual business needs. Compatible with both VRLA and lithium-ion batteries, the system ensures lower total cost of ownership while boosting reliability through predictive maintenance.
“This event reflects our long-term commitment to Egypt and the region,” said Sebastien Riez, CEO of Schneider Electric Northeast Africa and Levant. “Our secure power solutions are part of our vision to accelerate digital transformation and sustainability, while supporting the growth of an AI- and data-driven economy. These innovations play a direct role in advancing the future of energy and reinforcing our leadership in the market.”
OffGrid: Portable Clean Energy for Individuals and Professionals
Beyond enterprise-level solutions, Schneider Electric also launched OffGrid, a portable clean energy station designed for both households and mobile professionals. Equipped with a high-capacity rechargeable battery, OffGrid delivers pure sine wave output, ensuring safe use with sensitive electronics.
Lightweight and versatile, the device is suited for outdoor activities such as camping and travel, as well as serving as a reliable backup power source during outages. It also targets mobile professionals like field technicians and construction workers who require dependable portable energy on the go.
“With AI, cloud computing, and data centers expanding rapidly, the demand for secure power is soaring,” said Heba El-Toukhy, Vice President of Secure Power for Egypt, Northeast Africa and Levant. “Galaxy VXL offers unmatched efficiency and resilience, while OffGrid reflects our commitment to delivering flexible, clean energy solutions that adapt to modern lifestyles. What sets our portfolio apart is adaptability, scalability, and a strong focus on reducing carbon footprint—helping customers build a more efficient and sustainable future.”
