CAIRO: British Airways (BA) recently inaugurated the opening of its new offices at the InterContinental Residence Suites at the City Stars complex.
The British Ambassador Sir Derek Plumbly attended the event and gave a good luck speech for the new offices. He was welcomed by Mervat Alfy, the commercial manager of BA in Egypt, as well as BA employees and members of the press.
Alfy presented a slideshow on BA’s long-running relationship with Egypt, which dates back 80 years. British tourists and business travelers form the bulk of foreigners flying into the country today.
BA’s new offices will continue operations by sending 16 flights per week between London and Cairo. E-tickets are offered online at www.ba.com for the Cairo-London route and the Alexandria-London route, as well as online check-in where customers can use an interactive map of the aircraft to pick or change their seats.
BA’s latest next generation project, Club World, is part of an investment program in the airline’s products and services. The new Club World includes enhancements to its first class cabin and the introduction of an on-demand in-flight entertainment system in every cabin across the long haul fleet for more privacy and greater comfort.
