Amadeus launches latest version of e-Travel Management

DUBAI: Amadeus, a provider of technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, launched the latest version of Amadeus e-Travel Management, according to a statement released to the press. Version 10.2 provides travelers with increased functionality and access to a wider range of customized services.

Travel managers can give users access to external local providers within the corporate travel program. By logging in, travel managers can conveniently access a variety of local restaurants, car services and hotels. It also has a new auto-complete function that provides a predictive list of cities, airports or train stations. Flight searches can be conducted by arrival time, which facilitates itinerary planning.

The new version also allows companies considering how best to reduce their carbon footprint to link to online carbon-offset providers of their choice. It also enables users to create a direct link to selected carbon management suppliers in order to measure the environmental impact of the traveler’s journey against their corporate environmental policy.

Air ticket refunds are often complex and differ depending on regional markets across the globe. The ‘unused ticket indicator’ feature allows companies to see in real-time how many purchased air tickets have not been used by employees.
