Egypt Invest 2006 will look at implementation, impact of investment

CAIRO: While there is no denying the success that Egypt has been enjoying in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country over the past two years, it is also understood that to continue with this upward curve that more investors, and more investment, has to be encouraged through making new opportunities available in many leading industry sectors.

The recent and unexpected eruption in Lebanon will leave the Middle East feeling the aftershock for the coming months and place even more pressure and competition on countries in the region to effectively attract the necessary FDI numbers required to continue strong growth.
