Unlike previous Ahmed Helmi movies, Keda Reda (I’m Content), the latest summer release directed by Ahmed Galal, has a different style than Helmi usually adopts.

The movie tells the story of three triplets – all named Reda – who live their lives as one person. They do so because their father was afraid people would envy him for having three sons and give him the evil eye. More importantly, he wanted them to be exempted from the mandatory military service. He had lost an eye during his time in the military, and wanted to avoid putting his sons in harms way.

Without knowing, the triplets all fall in love with Menna Shalaby, the film’s leading lady.

The movie contains some excellent comedy scenes and Helmi put a lot of effort into giving each Reda a distinct personality. It was easy to tell which of the three brothers Helmi was playing as soon as he appeared on screen. Each triplet had unique characteristics, style and attitude.

Khaled El-Sawy plays a psychiatrist who treats one of the Redas who suffers from a weak personality and is always afraid of his two brothers. Although it wasn’t a major role, Al-Sawy’s acting was the highlight of the movie, and it had audiences talking for hours after the end of the film.

Helmi’s movies are usually love stories that go through a tough time in the middle of the film and ends happily. This movie is like nothing he’s done before. It will surpass your expectations.
