CAIRO: Omar Bin laden, the 27-year-old son of Al-Qaeda’s Osama Bin Laden revealed the truth about the rumors surrounding his latest marriage to a British woman, in an interview with Alarabiya.net.
Omar did not deny the marriage yet clearly indicated that Jane Felix-Browne, his 51-year-old wife is not British, but is an Arab Muslim women and that her real name is Zeina bent Mohammed Al Sabah.
Omar also said that she hails from the ruling family in Kuwait.
The wife, who appeared with her husband in the interview, also confirmed her identity to Alarabiya.net.
“My father came to England in 1946, she said, but preferred not to discuss the debate surrounding her origins. “I don’t want to talk about my origins and people need to stay away from that.
Al Sabah said that she prays and wears the hijab (Islamic headscarf) when she visits Arab countries.
“I didn’t become a Muslim after my marriage. I’m originally Muslim not Christian.
Al-Sabah said that she does not “care if her husband is the son of the most wanted man in the world.
“How can we know for sure that Osama bin Laden did what they claim he did? she added.
She recounted that she met Osama bin Laden only once back in the 1970s and described him as being “young, thin, tall and nice.
However, Al Sabah, who is currently in London while her husband, Omar is in Saudi Arabia, said that they talk from seven to 15 hours a day on the internet.
“We talk, listen to music and watch television together she said. She teaches him English, while he teaches her “how to be a good listener and how to be more understanding.
The marriage which took place in Egypt last summer is not officially registered in Saudi Arabia, as Omar has indicated.
According to Omar the couple are trying to register their marriage officially so they could live together in Saudi.
Omar, commented on the huge age difference between him and his new wife by saying that “this is a private matter, our marriage is legal, and I already have a young [Saudi] wife.
