CAIRO: University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) announced the appointment of Magda Mohyeldin as its Senior Business Development Manager for Middle East and North Africa (Mena). Mohyeldin will be based in Egypt alongside CIE’s existing team and will be supporting CIE schools in Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
CIE is the world’s largest provider of international examinations for 14 to 19 year olds. Cambridge operates in 150 countries around the world. To ensure that Cambridge Centres receive the very highest standards of service, numerous CIE representatives are located around the world to provide local guidance and support.
Previously, Mohyeldin worked for the British Council in Cairo for 24 years of which she was the Examination Services Manager for 15 years, responsible for the promotion and administration of all British examinations and qualifications in Egypt. She was also appointed as an advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Education regarding Foreign Education and was awarded an Honorary MBE by HRH the Queen for services to British education.
Mohyeldin has been working for another examination board for the last three years, and was responsible for developing and promoting academic and vocational qualifications and has also worked as a teacher of Business English for adults at the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University for two years.
