Ittihad to fine players

CAIRO: Ittihad board decided to impose financial fines on a number of first team players due to the team’s poor results.

Club financial director Fetouh Hegazi told FilGoal.com that LE 10,000 will be deducted from each player after the Egyptian Cup exit at the hands of second division side Mansoura.

Striker Abdel-Hamid Hassan tops the deductions list with LE 60,000 after he publicly hit out at board member Hisham Al-Torki.

Hassan has also missed the team’s training and showed up late for sessions on numerous occasions.

Defender Youssef Abdel-Rahim was also hit with an LE 30,000 fine and striker Reda Metwalli with LE 20,000.
