A tender for establishing a wind power station in the Gulf of Suez area will be launched within the coming few days, Egyptian Minister of Electricity Hassan Younes said.
This will be the second tender for establishing a wind power station after a successful international tender for setting up a 250 MW station, he said.
About 500 MW are produced from wind energy after the Zafarana power plant started operation, the minister said, noting that it is expected to reach 550 MW next month.
