DUBAI: A crown prince in the United Arab Emirates is offering free housing and other aid to the impoverished parents of newborn sextuplets.
The pledge by Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi from the Ajman emirate is part of an outpouring of support for the Egyptian couple living in Abu Dhabi after they said they cannot afford to care for the infants.
Dubai’s Gulf News reported Thursday that the Ajman crown prince has offered housing and medical help for the three boys and three girls born prematurely in October. Ajman is one of the seven emirates in the UAE.
The family’s plight was featured in local media this week after the father said his monthly income of about $550 as a taxi driver was not enough to care for the children.
