CAIRO: Egypt’s central bank said it sold LE 6 billion ($1.01 billion) in domestic treasury bills on Thursday (CBEY), with yields on its 182-day bills declining.
The bank sold LE 2.5 billion of 182-day bills, the same amount it asked for, at an average yield of 11.921 percent, down a fraction from 11.923 percent at last week’s auction.
The bank also sold 3.5 billion pounds of 350-day T-bills, the same amount it had offered, at an average yield of 12.584 percent, up from 12.395 percent at the last issue on March 29.
