If this movie lures you with the flashy name of director Oliver Stone, the eye candy that is Salma Hayek and annoying-mouth-movements lady aka Blake Lively, or if you maybe you have a thing for veteran bad guys like John Travolta and Benicio Del Toro, you are in for a disappointment. The all too cliche, brutally violent gang movie traces the efforts of two drug dealers trying to find their “shared” girlfriend who has been kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel. The “shared” part bugged almost all of the reviewers. Apart from all the badassery, the movie has no substance. If you are still up for it, critics warn you that the ending might give you the urge to hit a baby.

It is the Robert De Niro once again taking your breath away. No matter what you think about the movie, De Niro will be De Niro. As a thriller that does not really thrill, Red Lights starts off promising, featuring a psychologist studying paranormal activities leading her to investigate a renowned psychic. Critics say that as the movie goes on, you lose track of what the plot is actually about and maybe start wondering how gracefully De Niro manages to carry himself even through such a weakly plotted script. Instead of waiting for a new M Night Shyamalan failure of a movie, Red Lights beat him to it, reportedly snatching the “worst ending” title as well.

Yes children and children at heart out there, Nemo and friends are back with their breathtaking underwater adventures, in 3D this time. We get to trace Nemo’s journey from the safe ocean to a tank in a dentist’s office and Marlin’s hilarious mission, thank to the natural blue Dory, to save him. There cannot possibly be a negative review of one of the best Pixar movies ever made. There are plenty of fish in the sea, but Nemo and his friends remain the centre of a unique and heartwarming story about love, friendship, and well… talking fish. Did we mention Dory? Even the overrated 3D technology surprisingly adds to the depth of the picture making this an even more enjoyable experience that should definitely not be missed.

The plot of the bad heroes has been repeated so many times it’s not even a thing anymore. However, it’s always easy to sympathise with the bad guys when they are as good looking as Tom Hardy. The movie is the same old story of family members who are involved in illegal activities and the crooked cop who turns their lives into living hell if he doesn’t get his share of profit. A cliche wouldn’t be a cliche without an unattainable belle whose heart must be won and just the right dose of violence that suits a prestigious gang movie that’s apparently based on a true story. The upside is the decent cast and acting, and well ladies, Tom Hardy.
