Kuwaiti and Egyptian investors are scheduled to hold a joint two-day forum in the Red Sea city of Marsa Alam.
Magdi Salim, President of the Internal Tourist Sector at Egypt’s Tourism Promotional Authority, said that those taking part in the forum would include the Kuwaiti National Guard, the Kuwaiti News Ministry, the Kuwaiti-Arab Development Fund, the Tourist Development Projects Company and the Kuwaiti News Agency, in addition to a number of prominent personalities from the investment, media and tourist sectors.
In preparation for the forum, a series of advertising and media campaigns have taken place in both Egypt and Kuwait to promote the event.
The forum will take place on 1800 square metres of land in 61 separate pavilions, and will include a special symposium on Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations, joint investment opportunities, and ways to combat obstacles to investment.
Egypt’s Industry and Commerce Ministry stated that a number of Egyptian ministries and financial authorities would take part in the forum, in addition to a number of construction companies, contractors, commercial institutions, hotel and tourist resort representatives and members of the media.
Salim added that the goal of the forum would be the revival of Egyptian tourism, specifically by targeting travellers from other Arab countries, and promoting a vision for the future by discussing ways to lift restrictions on travel between various Arab countries.
