Eighty-four members of the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters have been referred to military prosecution, according to state media agency MENA.
Ninety-four people were arrested when Islamists marched after the 9pm curfew set by Prime Minister Hazem El-Bebalawi, according to a Daily News Egypt reporter in Suez. The ensuing clashes left 14 dead and 215 injured, including 20 officers and soldiers.
The army fired warning shots into the air and told everybody to return to their homes.
The army also cleared a sit-in around Al-Hamza mosque in the same way as the Rabaa Al-Adaweya and Al-Nahda sit-ins were dispersed, said the reporter.
The reporter also confirmed that a total of three churches and a school were set ablaze by protestors on Wednesday.
Suez is one of 14 governorates that will have a curfew beginning at 7pm and lasting until 6am for a one-month period.
