Diplomatic delegations of foreign ministers from 28 countries visiting Egypt will be exempted from the daily withdrawal limit at banks, the central bank of Egypt (CBE) announced on Sunday.
The banks stated that exempt visiting delegations include Algeria, Libya, Sudan, Iran, and Rwanda.
In February 2011, the CBE imposed restrictions on daily bank withdrawals. The withdrawals were limited to EGP 50,000 and $10,000 worth of foreign currency. Limits on Egyptian pounds were revoked, while the dollar withdrawals increased to $30,000.
