Kuwaiti foreign minister Subah Khaled Al-Subah emphasised the importance of Egypt as the key stone of Middle Eastern security.
During his meeting with Egyptian president Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi Tuesday, Al-Subah praised Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations, stressing that both countries will boost bilateral relations in various fields.
Kuwait is keen to support the Egyptian development process, he said. Al-Sisi praised Kuwait’s role enforcing the unity of Arab countries and likewise, expressed his desire to augment mutual relations between Egypt and Kuwait.
They discussed the latest development in the Middle East and confirmed that the current situation requires pushing joint Arab efforts.
In a press conference between Al- Subah and Egyptian minister of foreign affairs Sameh Shoukry, the latter said that both countries are collaborating to solve the regional conflicts.
Shoukry said that Egypt and Kuwait agreed on a vision for the Libyan conflict and will pass it on to its parliament.
They both support the UN-backed plan for Libya, signed in Morocco. Al- Subah said that both countries are working hard for a ceasefire in Syria as well.
According to Shoukry, the talks between Arab countries are still ongoing since the joint Arab force.
