The production value in the public business sector reached EGP 140.8bn during the fiscal year (FY) 2014/2015, compared to EGP 139.8bn in FY 2013/2014, with an increase of 0.7%, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS).

CAPMAS issued its Annual Bulletin of Statistics on Sunday, which recorded the annual industrial production in the public business sector for FY 2014/2015. The bulletin showed that the production value in the iron and steel industry reached EGP 2.5bn in 2014/2015, compared to EGP 2.2bn in 2013/2014, with an increase of 12%.
