President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi arrived in New Delhi, India for a visit which should last a few days.
This comes as part of a tour which includes a visit to China, where Al-Sisi will attend the G20 summit, taking place in Hangzhou from 4-5 September.
Al-Sisi will meet with his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee, prime minister Narendra Modi, and vice president Mohammad Hamid Ansari, in addition to other top Indian officials, according to a statement from the presidency.
In a statement on Wednesday, Chinese ambassador to Egypt Song Aiguo recognised Al-Sisi’s attendance of the G20 summit. He said the strong bilateral cooperation between Egypt and China are an asset to building stronger relations with African countries.
