CAIRO: At least 18 factory workers were killed when their bus collided with a truck in Egypt s Nile Delta on Monday, a police official said.
The accident took place in Sharqiya province as the bus was leaving the factory, the official said.
He said other passengers were injured in the crash but could not say how many.
Egypt s roads are among the most chaotic and dangerous in the world, with traffic laws flouted widely. Road accidents kill about 6,000 people each year, according to transport ministry figures. – AFP
