CAIRO: Ahly playmaker Mohamed Abou-Trika turned down Ahly Dubai s lucrative offer on Tuesday, as he decided to stay put for another season.
Abou-Trika met with the football committee members and coach Hossam Al-Badri on Tuesday noon, and everybody has agreed that he should remain within our ranks, Egyptian champions marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com.
The Emirati side wanted to land the 30-year-old this summer on a season-long loan deal for around LE20 million.
Loaning Abou-Trika out in the meantime is not acceptable; we really need his services for next term, Al-Qaeyi added.
The Egypt star Joined Ahly in the winter of 2004 from Tersana, and has become one of the most prominent figures at the Cairo outfit ever since.
