CAIRO: An Egyptian belly-dancer who ran over a dawn jogger on a road near the Pyramids dumped his body in a rubbish tip after a hospital refused to admit the fatally injured man, police said on Tuesday.

Dancer Galila Hosni, 27, was heading home at 5 am on Monday after finishing her number in a local cabaret when she hit 70-year-old William Edward Andraous, a former UN official who was out for his morning jog, a police source said.

The dancer took him to a nearby hospital which, the source said, refused to admit him, saying he was too seriously injured. The man died in the car shortly afterwards.

Hosni and her brother took the corpse to a public tip and dumped it, but were seen by a witness who took the car number. Both the dancer and brother have been arrested and charged with manslaughter, the source added.
