A ceremony was held in Madagascar s capital Antananarive on Saturday to mark the occasion of Egypt s dispatch of a food and medicines shipment in aid for the country s people, a diplomatic source at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said.
Reports by the State Information Service reported that the ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials in Madagascar, including the head of the national office for combating disasters and crises, the special advisor to the Prime Minister and the Secretary General of the Agriculture Ministry, he added.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry is also in the process of sending a medical aid convoy to Madagascar, the reports added, as well as several parts of the country on a month-long mission, offering services to the people afflicted by damages caused by recent floods, according to the source.
