President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi is to meet German chancellor Angela Merkel within hours to hold talks on various issues, according to state-run media outlet EGY news.
Merkel is scheduled to arrive to Egypt within hours.
Following the meeting, Merkel will attend another meeting with Egyptian businessmen.
Moreover, Al-Sisi and Merkel are scheduled to hold a joint press conference.
This is Merkel’s first visit to Egypt since 2009, and her first with Al-Sisi since he was in Berlin in 2015.
