The Hyundai Verna topped the sales of Korean cars in Egypt in the first quarter (Q1) of 2017, selling 864 units for EGP 125.2m.The Verna is considered the cheapest Korean car in Egypt, with its parts locally assembled in Ghabbour Auto’s factory.
The Kia Cerato came in second place, with sales of EGP 239.9m and 88 sold units, followed by the Hyundai Elantra HD in the third place with 632 sold units for EGP 139.4m.
The Kia Sportage came in thefourth spot, with 569 sold units for EGP 256m, then the HyundaiTucson, with 366 sold units for EGP 179.3m.
The Hyundai Verna topped the sales of Korean cars in Egypt in 2016, with 11,200 sold units for EGP 1.7bn.
The Hyundai Tucson came in the secondspot, with 7,729 sold cars for EGP 3.05bn, followed by the Hyundai Elantra HD, with 5,088 sold units for EGP 1.3bn.
The Elantra AD came in fourth place, with 3,770 sold units for EGP 1.2bn, then the Kia Cerato with 3,665 units for EGP 879m.
